About Myself

What are your interests or hobbies? What are you passionate about?

I love gardening, reading, singing and socializing. I am passionate about cooking and trying different kinds of food.

What is your favorite type of food/cuisine?

I love Indian-Chinese and Italian.

What is your favorite food memory? Please provide an anecdote.

Back in Delhi, I had to host a corporate gathering of a mix of Indian and foreign visitors. The request was for my home-cooked food of a set menu. While cooking, by mistake, I mixed together two different ingredients that were supposed to be for 2 main course dishes. The outcome was WOW, what a dish. It was the star dish of the evening. Everyone asked me for the recipe and the name of the dish!

From whom did you learn to cook? Or, what is the best party you have ever attended or thrown?

I learned to cook from my mom by watching her cook. I have attended many many parties but the best party that comes to mind is the first themed party in Palm Meadows hosted by me. The theme was Retro Night and everyone enjoyed singing and dancing. For some, there wasn’t enough floor space so they got up on the tables and had fun dancing there. And hence, the precedence for themed parties was set and Palm Meadows became THE party place.

Which charity, if any, do you support?

I support Akshaya-Patra and various other causes. In whatever way I can

contribute, I do it. For example, there are places where they need medicine in a

village and I do that. I also give rice, flour, etc. to those who don’t have food.

Is there anything else you want our Foodies to know about you?

I play a lot with spices and that is the secret of my very own way of cooking.
